Emiliano Ponzi's bold illustrations are based on repetition, judicious use of lines, strong graphic compositions and conceptual metaphors.

He creates illustrations for advertising, magazines, books, newspapers ... In Italy, he works, among others, for Armani, Bulgari, Gucci, La Repubblica, Feltrinelli, Lavazza, TIM, Pirelli, Ferrari and the Milan Triennale Design Museum. His international clients include The New York Times, Le Monde, The New Yorker, Louis Vuitton, Moma NY, Der Spiegel, Penguin Books, Hyundai, Esquire, and Amnesty International.

Emiliano lives in Milan, Italy and has received numerous awards including the Young Guns Award as well as the coveted Gold Cube from the Art Directors Club of New York. He has won numerous medals of honor (gold and silver) from the Society of Illustrators of New York, as well as awards from the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles and the Trade Show 3x3 magazine. Awards of excellence have appeared in Print, HOW International Design Award, Communication Arts Illustration Annuals and American Illustration Annuals. “10 × 10”, his first monograph (Italian-English edition), was published by Corraini (Italy) in 2011 and the first and second edition quickly sold out.

His first collection of illustrations "The Journey of the Penguin" was published in the fall of 2015 by Penguin Books for the 80th anniversary of the publishing house. The second collection "The great New York subway map" was published by MOMA New York in February 2018.

Emiliano is considered today one of the most brilliant illustrators of his generation.
